QEEE(Quality Enhancement in Engineering Education)

“Quality Enhancement in Engineering Education (QEEE)” is a committee set up by the Department of Higher Education, MHRD with an objective of enhancing the quality of technical education in Under Graduate courses (Bachelors) of Engineering Colleges all over India (outside the IITs and the NITs).Towards this, the committeeunder the chairmanship of Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala rolled out a “Direct-to-Student (D2S)” program which completed its first phase (Jan-April 2014) with about 70 colleges, the second phase (August– November 2014) with about 125 colleges and the third phase (Jan– April 2015) with about 95 colleges across India. Currently the fourth phase of QEEE is active(August — November 2015).

The different modules involved in QEEE are

Our college has registered in the fourth phase of QEEE. We have registered for about 10 courses across various Engineering Disciplines. Among these five courses from Civil Engineering, two courses from Mathematics, two from Electronics and Communication Engineering and one from Computer Science and Engineering are included. The following are the details of registered courses.

2)Application of Principle of Virtual Work in Finding Unknown Displacements and forces –Civil engineering

3)Construction Planning and Control –Civil engineering

4)Earth Pressures on Retaining Structures –Civil engineering

5)Electromangetic Waves– Electronics and Communication Engineering

6)Fundamentals of Small Signal Analysis –Electronics and Communication Engineering

7)Physical and Mathematical Foundations — Fluid Mechanics-Civil engineering

8)Program Testing– Computer Science & Engineering

9)Random Variables and Distribution Functions — Mathematics

10)Site Investigation and Exploration –Civil engineering

For the conduct of these courses we have set up the hardware and installed QEEE software v6.0 which is made available by the QEEE .The course were scheduled from August to September 2015.The final year and pre final year students of Civil engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering are benefitted from these classes and we had successfully completed these courses.
